If I were the praying type, I'd entreat God for a world where people like Anders Breivik (and his counterparts in other militant far right- and left-wing groups) had no cause to exist.

As for the continuing debt ceiling crisis, I'm scheduled to draw a cartoon for Occasional Religion for the first of August. At this rate, I might have to do two (or three) to anticipate how things turn out.

Truth be told, I had originally intended to illustrate a more extensive, exclusively online feature showcasing the multitudinous faces of Senator Clinton--including Hillary-bot 9000 ("Resistance is futile, your vote will be assimilated!")--that would complement a more limited print cartoon. Unfortunately, that required more time than I had, so you'll have to be content with the above cartoon. In the meantime, I present to you Hillary Rodham Clinton: A woman for all seasons.
